Dr. Levey With His Wife Of 32 Years Tracy, And 3 Boys.
About Us
The Schroon Lake Region finally has a new dentist!
Dr. Levey’s dad, also a dentist, taught him that “attached to each tooth is a person, and usually an anxious person.” That mantra has stayed with Dr. Levey for his entire career, and he has set up his practice to be able to responsive to his patient’s needs. You can expect a very different experience at Dentist ADK from our compassionate and experienced team to our commitment to modern technology. Our philosophy is simple (and our small, warm, inviting office, the exact opposite of most corporate dental offices) allows us to fulfil Dr. Levey’s mission to treat everybody like family.
Dr. Bard J. Levey was graduated from Hamilton College (1987-Cum Laude), and then from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry at Chapel Hill in1991. He then completed his Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at the University of Rochester ‘s Eastman Dental Center in 1992 before entering private practice in July 1992.
After practicing in New York for over 27 years, Dr. Levey sold his practice in Westchester County in 2019 to begin his teaching career at the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, where he became the director of the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency program and was solely responsible for the training of the newly licensed dentists.
Dr. Levey’s decades of experience producing quality dentistry, his philosophy to always be a lifelong learner
(in addition to thousands of hours of continuing dental education, he also completed his master’s degree in strategic communication at the University of Tennessee in May 2023), his passion for dentistry, and his skill in building trusting relationships with his patients earned him multiple teaching awards during his teaching tenure at UT.
Dr. Levey said “my parents started coming to the Adirondacks in 1955, and I spent my summers here starting in 1965. I carried on the tradition for my family, as my wife and 3 boys spent their entire summer (and many winter weekends) here as well. My oldest son loves the Adirondacks so much that he did not want to leave and went to high school here (he graduated from Northwood School in Lake Placid) before choosing his undergraduate college in Durango, Colorado. My middle son became an avid “boarder” (snowboard/surfboard/skateboard) and chose his college to be in the mountains of Salt Lake City, Utah. My youngest son didn’t escape the need to be in the mountains either, and is currently enrolled in college in Vermont.
The concern that so many people have in the North Country is the lack of quality dental care. People must drive tremendous distances to find any dental care. It seems to be so hard to recruit quality health care talent to this area. I believe that if you have not spent time here you don’t really appreciate the beauty and quality of life the North Country provides. And even if you find a health care provider who does appreciate the special aspects of this area, good luck getting their spouse to sign on and be willing to move here. The result has been a decades long complete void of high-quality dental services for the people in and around Schroon Lake. I feel lucky to fill this void and start a new dental practice in Schroon Lake, right here in the middle of the North Country. This opportunity enables me and my wife to live in this special part of the country while providing high quality dental care to my patients.
People want their dentistry to look good, feel good, and last a long time…and that’s what I do.”
Dr. Levey has 3 grown boys and has been married to his wife Tracy for 33 years.
In his spare time, you will find him riding his bike, swimming in a local lake, hiking, or skiing at his favorite spots at Gore, Whiteface, Sugarbush, and Smuggler’s Notch.

Casey
Dental Assistant
Casey was born and raised in the Adirondacks!
I am a 2002 Graduate from North Warren Central School and the BOCES Nursing program with honors! Since graduating, I have spent over 20 years working locally in the private home health care industry. My passion has always been to help people and to care for anyone in need. Although my journey in dentistry has just started, I absolutely love it, while also learning another side of health care.
In my down time (which there is not a lot of!) I love spending time nurturing the most important, and greatest accomplishment I have; my 3 children! Some of my hobbies are camping, hiking, kayaking, golfing with my husband, and enjoying where we live. You can also find me at The Bull House restaurant in Chestertown 3 nights a week.
